Fifth Grade British Art

5^th graders took inspiration from two different artists, Damien Hirst and Banksy. 

Two of the 5^th grade classes learned about the world’s richest artist, Damien Hirst and created their own version of spin art and personalized it by cutting it into a symbol that represents their personality. 

The other two 5^th grade classes learned about controversial British graffiti artist Banksy, who is famous for his large scale stenciled murals. This inspired 5^th graders to work in groups to create their own mural using stencils and graffiti writing centered on a theme of their choice.
