Fifth Grade British Art

5th graders took inspiration from two different artists, Damien Hirst and Banksy.

Two of the 5th grade classes learned about the world’s richest artist, Damien Hirst and created their own version of spin art and personalized it by cutting it into a symbol that represents their personality.

The other two 5th grade classes learned about controversial British graffiti artist Banksy, who is famous for his large scale stenciled murals. This inspired 5th graders to work in groups to create their own mural using stencils and graffiti writing centered on a theme of their choice.
